Donation Refund Guidelines

Applicable to All Voluntary Contributions & Memberships

At Swastisri Seva Welfare Foundation, we practice the highest standards of integrity and financial accountability. We rely on voluntary donations to execute critical social welfare initiatives, educational sponsorship, medical aid camps, and humanitarian relief drives.

1. General Donation Policy

As a non-profit charitable trust registered under Indian laws, all donations and membership fees contributed to the Foundation are generally non-refundable. Once an online donation is completed and deployed towards grassroots welfare programs or 80G tax certificates are generated, it becomes part of the statutory charitable corpus.

2. Exceptions & Accidental Transactions

We understand that erroneous transactions or technical glitches can occasionally occur during online payment processing. We will consider a refund request under the following exceptional circumstances:

  • Duplicate Transaction: If a donor's bank account or card is accidentally debited multiple times for a single donation attempt due to network latency or payment gateway errors.
  • Accidental Excess Amount: If a donor inadvertently enters an incorrect amount (for example, entering ₹10,000 instead of ₹1,000) due to a typographical error.

3. Procedure to Request a Refund

If you experience an erroneous or duplicate transaction and wish to request a refund, please adhere to the mandatory timeframes below:

  1. You must send a formal written notification via email to info@swastisriseva.org within 7 (seven) calendar days of the transaction date.
  2. Your email must clearly include:
    • Full Name of the Donor
    • Transaction Reference Number / Payment Gateway Order ID
    • Date and Exact Amount of Transaction
    • Reason for requesting the refund along with screenshot proof of duplicate debit (if applicable)
  3. Once an 80G tax exemption certificate has already been issued and filed with Income Tax authorities against a PAN number, statutory rules prohibit the cancellation or reversal of that specific donation receipt.

4. Processing Time

Once a legitimate refund request is verified and approved by our finance committee, the refunded amount will be credited back to the original method of payment (Bank Account / Credit Card / UPI) within 7 to 10 business days, subject to standard banking clearance cycles.
